Refurbishments

This project was a large rear and side extension in the very desirable area of Wonersh Park in Guildford. The side extension incorporated the garage into the scope of the new building and allowed for the addition of a study, large kitchen/dining area and downstairs WC.

Upstairs the master bedroom was enlarged and a dressing room and large en-suite bathroom were added. The client, with one eye on later life, even incorporated an elevator shaft, which they now use as a larder downstairs in the kitchen and wardrobe upstairs in the bedroom.

The ‘blending in’ of the new work to the old was of high importance to our customer and so pains were taken to match everything where possible and if not then work sympathetically with the look of the existing building.

Outside the back terrace and garden were renewed and a new path was built at the front together with a new driveway.

This Grade II listed building took an enormous amount of patience and skill to extent and renovate. All work was completed in accordance with the rules set out when altering listed buildings including using original horse hair plaster and lime based mortar etc.

The whole roof was stripped with new felt and battening with new roof tiles with a new flat roof added at the back. The exterior was painted new and bespoke factory made window units were added to the new extension. The entire house was re-plumed and re-wired to facilitate a new heating and AV system installation. And new plant room was added to the side of the building.

This project was a challenge. A lack of space, together with restricted space for ceiling lighting added to the complexity of the project. A new modern kitchen and a master ensuite and master bedroom extension were also built. The project took slightly longer than the time frame by 3 weeks but was finished on budget and to the clients satisfaction.

This 4 bedroom house in Merrow was built in 1956. It needed total refurbishment and renewal inside and out from the ground up. The project involved some re-orientation of rooms, converting small 50s style spaces into large open living areas. The project included the following:

This large 5 bedroom house was renovated to include a new bespoke Kitchen in addition to a family playroom and dining room. Major structural steelwork was changed to allow for a open plan Kitchen and 2 sets of Bi-fold doors installed to allow light, and on those hot days, air into the house. We also facilitated a range of re-decoration to the bedrooms, including a new juliet balcony, and new bespoke cabinets for storage.

This was a total refurbishment project, modernising a house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The property had not been altered since the early 90s. The work was completed over a 2 month period, total rewiring, adding new plumbing, bathroom suites and a new kitchen, including extensive plastering and refurbished floors. We were able to renovate this great property located in a convenient place in Guildford with a high standard of work but at reasonable costs.

This medium sized flat was refurbished for a client who lives by himself. We completely stripped out the existing flat and replaced all the heating system with a Combi-boiler and new Bathroom and Kitchen suites. The flat was redecorated and new carpet and flooring was installed throughout.
